Flint water crisis focus of Michigan Civil Rights Commission hearing

The Michigan Civil Rights Commission has planned its latest meeting to discuss the Flint water crisis after hearing concerns from residents and community leaders earlier this year.  The commission hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, July 14 at the Northbank Center Grand Ballroom, 432 N. Saginaw St., in downtown Flint and is open to the public.

Residents voiced their concerns over water quality and worries of racism during an April 25 commission meeting in Flint that went on for several hours and included one resident bringing in a case of water to show their daily plight.
