On April 22nd – 23rd, 2016, come in solidarity to the first Detroit Just Transition People Movement Assembly sponsored by the East Michigan Environmental Action Council (EMEAC) and Global Grassroots Justice (GGJ) . The theme of our Just Transition Assembly in Detroit are building an intergenerational movement, increasing capacity for community self-determination, and de-siloing our movement. . PMAs are an important part of a long-term ongoing organizing strategy to build social movement power and construct plans for governance in the face of displacement, gentrification, unresponsive policy makers, and institutional racism.

This a free event. The event opens with a reception on Friday evening. Breakfast and lunch served on Saturday as well.

Friday April 22 6:30-8:00pm will be an Opening Dinner
Saturday April 23 9:00-5:00pm will be the Assembly

Both events will be at the Cass Corridor Commons

  1. I do understand Aso, though. After all, if your active career is over in either case, would you rather be remembered as "Last Prime Minister of the LDP" or as &qbgt;Foroettaule Nobody #4"?
